Radament

RADAMENT is an instrumental duo formed in Barcelona by the Galician pianist and composer Juanjo Fernández and the Italian drummer Giorgio Fausto Menossi. Their music mixes jazz, rock and cinematic soundtracks to create songs on the verge between composition and improvisation. The influences go from Rachmaninov, EST, Brad Mehldau to Led Zeppelin, Blonde Redhead and Tortoise, giving a sound that may evoke the recent post-jazz works of bands like Go Go Penguin and Mammal Hands.

RADAMENT have published with positive reception a homonymous first album in 2017 and the second disc “due” in 2019, selected by the platform Bandcamp within the best jazz albums of the month. Their live show has been presented with tours in Spain and Italy, and in several jazz festivals.

The sound of the band combines influences of classical and jazz music with a post-rock rhythmic feel, with a highly cinematic, dynamical and emotional result. Radament’s jazz is still blended with classical and rock music, but the spectrum of influences is increasingly wider.

"The duo takes cheerful melodies for a spin, briskly riding them as far as they’ll go. And they pair that
with a breezy, conversational style that is 100% engaging." - The Best Jazz on Bandcamp (April 2019) -

“Incredible jazz duo. This is active conversation and it’s coming at you through the music.” - St. Vincent (W Barcelona Sound Suite) -

"I took to this album immediately, and continue to find it equally charming with each additional listen." - Bird is the Worm -
